A short ceremony was organised in the afternoon to commemorate the
successful completion of the first week of ORBIS in Kuching. Certificates of
recognition were presented to the visiting ophthalmologists. DVDs of the
operation performed during the week were also presented to representatives
from Cambodia, Laos, Kalimantan (Indonesia), Sabah (East Malaysia) and
Brunei.
The following were the operations performed in the first week of ORBIS in
Kuching. Operations took place in two sites: ORBIS plane and the Eye Theatre
of Sarawak General Hospital.
