Weiss ring

This patient was referred to our eye department in Sarawak General Hospital, Kuching because of a sudden onset right floater. Examination revealed a Weiss ring in the anterior vitreous. Weiss ring is the result of vitreous detachment around the optic nerve head. Otherwise, fundoscopy did not show any retinal holes or tears.

Ring-shaped posterior vitreous detachment from the optic nerve head.
