Bilateral cataracts

This 4 month-old girl was referred from the peripheral hospital because of visual inattention. Examination revealed bilateral aphakia. There was no family history of note and screening of any medical illnesses were negative. She underwent an uncomplicated simultaneous bilateral lens aspiration.

Absent red reflexes in both eyes.

Bilateral aphakia.
