Dental and orbital abscess

This 4 year-old girl who developed a dental abscess was referred to the eye department because of right orbital swelling. A CT scan showed opacification of the maxillary sinus and an orbital floor subperiosteal abscess. She was given intravenous penicillin and metronidazole. A repeated CT scan was arranged in one week time to find out if the subperiosteal abscess remained. If so, the abscess would need to be drained preferably by the ENT team via the maxillary sinus.

Dental cary and a right orbital cellulitis. The corneal reflex showed the right eye is hypertropic.
