A 50 year-old woman with bilateral
congenital glaucoma underwent right Ahmed tube drainage to control the intraocular
pressure. Examination showed Haab's striae and previous trabeculectomies in both eyes.
The left eye also had had cataract surgery with intraocular lens implants. However,
the right intraocular pressures was high at 30mmHg despite three different eyedrops (latanoprost, trusopt and
timolol).
Ahmed tube in the right eye. A
horizontal Haab striae can be seen.
A piece of human pericardium is
sutured to the sclera at the limbus to keep the Ahmed tube
