Traumatic hyphaema with angle recession

This 28 year-old man was assaulted and developed a right blurred vision. Slit-lamp examination revealed traumatic hyphaema but otherwise normal intraocular pressure. Gonioscopy showed angle recession in the area of hyphaema. He was given homatropine and topical steroid to prevent secondary hyphaema. Secondary hyphaema often causes raised intraocular pressure which is difficult to control.
