This 63 year-old woman had
had a left esotropia ever since sustaining a perforating corneal injury in
her teens. She wished to have a squint surgery. Examination showed the left
pupil to be ectopic and there was residual lens material but the retina
appeared normal. The plan for her was a secondary lens implant with
simultaneous pupilloplasty to centralize the pupil before embarking on
squint operation. The squint might improve or even disappear if the patient
was able to achieve a good left vision.
