This man who
sustained a right perforating trauma came
to the Eye Department 4 days later because of pain. The vision was hand
movement. The cornea was perforated at the 1 O'clock area and there was
hypopyon. The patient was started on intensive antibiotic of cefuroxime
and gentamicin hourly after the area around the perforation was taken
for culuture and sensitivity. The perforated area was covered with
pericardium obtained from Universiti Sains Malaysia for RM40.00.
