Morgagnian Cataract

This patient has a hypermature left cataract which reduces her vision to hand movement. The picture shows inferior displacement of the nucleus as a result of liquefication of the cortex. This is a Morgagnian cataract. The multiple whitish dots on the anterior capsule are caused by calcification of the lens fibres.
