A 65 year-old woman from a
remote village complained of decreased vision in the left eye. The visual
acuity was 6/60. Slit-lamp examination revealed a large corneal scar in the

indicated of previous corneal perforation with iris incarceration. She also
had a dense cataract. She underwent an uncomplicated phacoemulsification and
implant. The post-operative vision was 6/24 improved to 6/12 with corrective
lenses of -1.00/-3.50X35.
