Healed perforated corneal ulcer

A 65 year-old woman from a remote village complained of decreased vision in the left eye. The visual acuity was 6/60. Slit-lamp examination revealed a large corneal scar in the inferotemporal region with iridocorneal adhesion. The appearance was indicated of previous corneal perforation with iris incarceration. She also had a dense cataract. She underwent an uncomplicated phacoemulsification and implant. The post-operative vision was 6/24 improved to 6/12 with corrective lenses of -1.00/-3.50X35.
