Blue dots cataract in Down's syndrome

A 12 year-old girl with Down's syndrome attended the clinics because of decreased vision in both eyes. The visual acuity was 6/36 in both eyes and slit-lamp showed blue dots cataract typical of this condition. However, refraction with myopic correction improved her vision to 6/12 and therefore no cataract surgery was needed for the time being.
