This elderly man
complained of a lumpy yellowish lesion in the left temporal region of the
eye white.
Examination revealed a soft yellowish lesion arising from behind the globe.
The lesion could be pushed backward using a cotton bud but the posterior
edge could not be seen. This was typical of orbital fat prolapse. The
visible fat
was excised and the cut edge was
cauterized to allow the fat to shrink back into the orbit.
