Corneal thinning

This 42 year-old woman complained of a reduced right vision measuring 6/60 which could not be improved with a pin-hole. She gave a history of corneal injury from foreign body while at work. Examination revealed moderate corneal scarring with ferritin lines and a significant corneal thinning due to stroma loss. Keratometry showed irregular astigmatism. Moderate corneal scarring can cause significant visual loss due to irregular astigmatism.
