Conjunctival squamous
cell carcinoma
Chung Nen
A 70 year-old
presented with papilloma-like lesions of the right temporal conjunctiva.
Biopsy revealed this to be squamous cell carcinoma. There was no
evidence of metastasis (like lymphadenopathy). The lesions were excised
via a bare-sclera technique followed by intraoperative mitomycin C
application to the sclera bed and adjacent conjunctiva.
Conjunctival squamous cell
carcinoma. The bleeding site is the area biopsied.
