Traumatic iris perforation

This young man was hit in his left eye by a flying metallic foreign body while welding. His vision dropped to hand movement as a result of traumatic cataract. Slit-lamp examination revealed an area of iris perforation in the inferonasal region and the CT scan showed intraocular foreign body in the globe. He underwent simultaneous cataract surgery and vitrectomy to remove the foreign body.
