This man who had a poorly
dilated right pupil (due to previous attack of acute angle closure glaucoma)
underwent an uneventful phacoemulsification and implant. His vision was 6/12
unaided on the first post-operative day. However, the vision decreased to
6/24 when reviewed two weeks later. Slit-lamp examination showed the pupil
was partially occluded by a piece of cortex. YAG capsulotomy was performed
to improve the vision.
