Interstitial
keratitis
chung Nen
This 7 year-old had had
recurrent right red eye and was treated for herpetic keratitis. For the past
few years, the parents noted increased corneal opacity. Examination revealed
opacity of the anterior stroma with ghost vessels. This is thought to be
interstitial keratitis secondary to herpertic keratitis. His vision was
reduced to 6/60. He was seen by Dr. Ambati during the recent ORBIS visit. He
underwent superficial keratectomy and amniotic membrane graft.
Post-operative pictures will appear here at a later date.
