Tectonic graft for peripheral corneal perforation

This man underwent tectonic corneal graft eight months ago for a peripheral corneal perforation. Refer to Case 23 in Case of the Week. A dense cataract developed subsequently. He underwent an uneventful extracapsular cataract extraction and implant. During the operation, sphicterectom and a broad iridectomy was performed due to anterior synechiae and floppy iris.

 

Left tectonic graft, dense cataract and an area of peripheral calcification at the site of

previous corneal ulceration.

 

One week post-cataract extraction and implant.
