Model helicopter injury

A 33-year-old man was referred from a district hospital after sustaining a severe right ocular injury while playing a  flying model helicopter. He sustained full thickness laceration of the upper eyelid, cornea and sclera from the blades of the helicopter. Primary repair was performed under general anaesthesia.

Full thickness upper eyelid and cornea lacerations. Uvea and vitreous prolapse were evident

from the scleral laceration.
