Canaliculitis

This woman complains of a few months history of left upper lid pain with discharge. Examination shows pouting of the upper punctum with inflammation and erythema along the canaliculus. Discharge is expressed with pressure on the canaliculus and sent for culture and sensitivity. The most common pathogen in canaliculitis is Actinomycosis Israeli.

Left upper canaliculus swelling.

Whitish discharge when the canaliculus is compressed.
