Punctal stenosis

This 50 year-old man complained of recurrent
left epiphora. The punctum and the lower eyelid were in good position. The
tone of the lower eyelid was normal. Syringing was difficult due to a small
punctum but otherwise the nasolacrimal duct was patent. A 2-snip operation
was performed to facilitate the tear drainage. The epiphora resolved at the
follow-up clinic.
Tight lower punctum.
A pair of Vennar scissors were used to
perform the 2-snip operation.
