Paralytic ectropion

This 75 year-old man developed left lower
facial nerve palsy of unknown cause ie. Bell's palsy 6 weeks ago. He had
problem closing the left eye and there was exposure keratitis. Examination
showed paralytic ectropion. Lateral tarsal strip was performed to improve
the lid closure.
Left lower facial nerve palsy with
paralytic lower ectropion. The cornea was exposed
during lid closure.
Improved eyelid closure 24 hours after
lateral tarsal strip operation.
