Discoid lupus

This young man was referred to the eye clinic for retina screening because he was taking hydroxychloroquine for systemic lupus erythematosus. He had scarrings and hair loss from discoid lupus. The retina examination was normal.

Scarring alopecia from discoid lupus of the scalp.
