Blepharospasm

This 63-year-old woman
complained of ocular irritation and problem with eye opening. She was given
a variety of eye drops including artificial tears by different doctors and
ophthalmologists without improvement. Examination showed only minimal dry
eyes and the problem with eyelid opening was due to blepharospams involving
the orbicularis, corrugator and procerus. The symptoms improve rapidly with
botox injection of the above muscles.
